Tracy Hickling

Traditional Medicine Practitioner

traditional medicine practitionerTracy Hickling has been a traditional medicine practitioner for over 28 years including Chinese medicine and Naturopathy, with the focus on Classical CM. Tracy is a  qigong master and martial arts/tai ji chuanpractitioner/instructor. Clinically Tracy likes to focus on pathologies that are difficult to diagnose and treat, using a comprehensive method that includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, diet, life-style and emotions.

I believe an important factor for declining health in modern society is the loss of traditional knowledge that provides a framework for living balanced lives. Importantly, the inability to choose from the conflicting volume of information regarding health inhibits individuals from making positive choices. I am passionate about helping people gain the knowledge that is required to make positive changes to physical, emotional, and or spiritual well-being. My approach is comprehensive, reviewing everything that has contributed in a negative or positive way to health and offering treatment and advice to make improvements. I believe it is important that individuals develop ‘self-sustaining lifestyles’, becoming less dependant on practitioners. I work from a western and eastern perspective, combining the latest science with ancient knowledge.

Tracy Hickling is a Dr of Chinese Medicine and utilises both a classical and modern approach. Tracy is also a qualified Naturopath, Homoeopath and Remedial Therapist, so while the main clinical focus in Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine she also draws upon a range of modalities best suited to the individual and modern medical complaints. Having practiced traditional medicine for over 27 years, she has had experience in treating a wide range of conditions, and has a particular interest in chronic or difficult to treat conditions.

Tracy uses a comprehensive diagnostic approach, evaluating any beneficial or harmful lifestyle habits, tailoring each clients diet and lifestyle to provide a framework that optimises treatment benefits and develops a self-sustaining lifestyle.

Tracy believes it is important to develop good professional relationships with General Practitioners and other Medical specialists in order to provide the best possible care, thus working from a eastern and western perspective, combining the latest science with ancient knowledge.

Tracy is a Qigong Master and Instructor, having trained with 3 Qigong Masters for over 18 years. Tracy is also a martial arts black belt and instructor, having trained in Gongfu for over 12 years.

Tracy is available Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays from 9:15 AM to 7:00 PM
